BARNEY'S CAKE FOR EILA

Happy 1st Birthday to Eila! :D Thank you Susan for the order and i'm very shocked to know that u found me from the internet and not FB...Tq google...hehehe.

This is my BIG challenge of the year...to do 2 tier fondant cake with some figurine. I'm very nervous because it's for someone else other than my regular customers...but at last at 4am on 30 april, me and my hubby have finished  the job...fuuhhhh..hehehe..and we happy because of it. Next time we will do better than this and will double check all the details.

ORDER FROM HELSINKI REP.


Blackforest cake with cherry jam and whipping cream filling. Choc rice, whipping cream and strawberry as deco. It's suppose to be cherry as the deco but there's none ..so, i just use strawberry...hehehe.

HAPPY BDAY TO ZAHIRAH & SAKINAH...

I've made raspberry cake with bc & walnut as deco for Sakinah. Zahirah's cake is rich moist choc cake with ganache filling and deco. Both of them is using rice paper edible image bought from confetti.fi . I really don't like using rice paper because it's harden when changing temperature and automatically make my bc deco crack...huhuh..Anyway, happy bday to both of them..heheh

Thanks for this rich moist choc cake, i know that i can do 1 bday cake in 1 day but not very smooth..huhuu. Heheheheh..all because of my misunderstanding..but i'm glad i did it...hehe. There's much more to improve in this car...next time bebe..

WINTER CAKE 4 CHRISTMAS EVENT @ MSIA EMBASSY


Second try for 2 storey cake, white choc macadamia cake. Next time, i have to put the cake to the room temperature 5 hours earlier especially during winter. If not, it's quite hard to cut it.

WHITE CHOCOLATE MACADAMIA




I've been searching the recipe of this cake for a very longgggg time. Hmmmm...and there's none. Nobody know this secret recipe from Secret Recipe Cake in Malaysia. Because my mother and 2 of my sister (Najmin & Munirah) really x10 like it, so i try to come out with a recipe that pretty much taste like the cake..i think..:D... I search for the best white cake recipe & white choc mousse recipe in the internet...waalaaa..and then i put some macadamia nuts in the filling like above pic. Yesss, i made it and its yummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...but please a big slice per day only..:D. All the frosting is from white choc mousse.

ROBERT DOWNEY 'S CAKE





Hahahahha..i keep laughing when i see this cake. Special request from H University... a fan of Robert Downey and she wants a picture of he's holding a pipette (a lab equipment ). So, i search from ebay and i get it ....good job, nicely done. I hope the cake bring happy memory for her...sweetttttt

Talk about the deco...because of the influence from 'cake boss' tv programme, i wanna try the string work.. yes, it's a very delicate job and you have to be 'in the zone'...

PAVLOVA



Before this, i'm really curious about the taste of pavlova and at last i did it but unfortunately i'm not so into it ...Don't get me wrong, it's my own personal taste. Maybe because it's too sweet for me. I will search for another recipe that not too sweet. Fyi, i'm really like sweet desserts. My sweet taste is really too sweet for my friends..so, if i say it's too sweet.........

If you wanna reduce the sweetness , you have to eat it with lots of fruits so it can balance the taste..And as you can see from my picture, my fruits is not very much...my bad

CHOC HAZELNUT CAKE WITH CHOC FILLING & HAZELNUT BC




Happy bday hubby ! Sorry for the appearance...suppose to do different deco but something wrong with my ganache...trust me ..i've already frosting the cake smoothly..(see above pic) maybe i'm too rush to get it done and i screw up. I'll make it up to you next time, ok? luv u.

It's choc sponge cake with hazelnut bc, dacquoise and choc filling. Wow! too much work to get it done. Result: dacquoise too sweet and hard to eat..not really fond about it. Next time i will reduce the amount of sugar in the hazelnut bc also.
